I have over three years' experience of living with prostate cancer. During that time I have become increasingly aware of the need for support specifically for gay men.

I am Michael's partner and have been with him on every step of the life-changing journey.

We are a group of people who know about prostate cancer.  We are a friendly organisation dedicated to offering support to gay and bi-sexual men who have had or who are experiencing the effects of this potentially life threatening disease.

The Out with Prostate Cancer Support Group offers a place for free exchange of information and help for gay and bi-sexual men and their supporters (family and friends) who may be affected by this increasingly common form of male cancer.

At each meeting we strive to be a positive, supportive and upbeat group of people; encouraging open discussion on what can be a very difficult and perhaps for some an embarrassing subject.  We have lively, informative, interactive, sharing and above all supportive meetings.

We are very grateful for the trail which has been blazed by the Manchester OUT WITH Prostate Cancer group. The model employed in Manchester is successful and we should love to establish a similar facility in the South of England. Our target group is gay men with prostate cancer currently undergoing therapy in Berkshire and Hampshire but, clearly, many parts of Oxfordshire are easily accessible also.
